If Apple retains the retarded "tabs on top" thing in Safari 4, then I
will certainly switch to a new browser. The only thing that bugs me is
that I'd likely loose bookmarks syncing between iPhone and all my
various macs. But tabs on top is such a visual clutter maker, since it
removes the one constant that ties a window together and breaks it up.

Ever had some 50 browser windows with 10-12 tabs each open? Try, and
have fun with tabs-on-top. What a nightmare! All gadgetry for dummies
who pull up a web browser once a week to google up some more or less
insignificant POI.

Also, the stop/reload thing in the URL field is annoying, because it's
at the opposite end from where you have to place the cursor to start
typing a URL. Meanwhile the add bookmarks button is prominent, and I
NEVER use it, because it's much quicker to file a URL in the proper
bookmarks sub-folder with drag&drop than trying to navigate a fickle
pop-up list or something like that. So while top-sites and cover-view
style history browsing are nice little additions, the other GUI
refinements are a disaster.
