The conference will include papers on such themes as the experience of old
age in past times, the role of voluntary and commercial insurance
organisations in providing assurance against the hazards of sickness and old
age, the development of statutory health insurance, the relationship between
sickness and ageing, and current work on the health status of elderly people
in different countries (including their availability for work).
You can find out more about the conference programme by visiting the
conference website: http://www.soton.ac.uk/morbidity/conference/index.html.
If you would like to attend, please complete the registration form at the
bottom of the conference web page and return it to Angela Westley, Finance

I should also be extremely grateful if you would circulate information about
the conference to anyone else who might be interested in attending.
With best wishes, Bernard.
