Stop the Data Rot! Embedding Robust Information Governance
25 February 2009, London
www.unicom.co.uk/recordsmanagement
BACKGROUND:
Embedding robust Information Governance as an integral part of organisational
strategy is vitally important in both the public and private sectors. The
comparison has been made to using seatbelts in cars - we must change the
culture and ensure that correct practices are embedded such that they
become the default.
The panel of expert speakers presents an insider’s view of the challenges
facing both public and private organisations and distils that collective
experience into practical know-how on information governance - the future of
data protection in a networked world.
OBJECTIVES:
The key deliverables of this conference are to:
Bring fresh perspectives on the role of Information Governance in a fast-
moving world; Make you aware of the potential pitfalls of a lack of information
governance; Provide authoritative, practical solutions to handling a variety of
information governance problems; Refresh your awareness of current
legislation surrounding this area; Help you to minimise the risks of future data
problems; Give useful advice to avoid damaged reputations and unnecessary
costs.
