'I'd imagine that one reason why certain people prefer living in
France, for instance, rather than Australia is quite simply that
France feels as though it were meant [underlined] to be lived in.
Whereas in Australia it was somehow as if one were hanging precariously
to a cliff edge, with the Genius Loci stamping on one's finger
tips.'
Kershaw chose France.
