*Synopsis of the film:*
A chance encounter between the director, a journalist by day, and a small
group of people who, despite all odds, willingly invite him into their world
of drug use and peddling, and *"Using"* was born. Starting out with no clear
plan to make a documentary, the director uses his camera to capture the
course of their coming to know each other. Three years on, the film's key
figure faces the death penalty for the crime of "transporting drugs," the
kind of story to be found in cities across the world. Just what exactly is
the relationship between a filmmaker and those being portrayed? *"Using"* has
the answer.
