Colleagues,
I wasn't too fussed for Hatfield I must admit- it was difficult finding somewhere to eat, given that I wasn't at the awards gala.
The movable feast option seems worth exploring, and I would imagine there are city based campus opportunities if keeping costs low
is an issue.

Hi David, Frances and Tony
I'll bring your comments to the attention of the organisers for the next
Umbrella. For now I agree, in a personal capacity, that Hatfield doesn't
have the easy off site access for social activities which previous sites
seem to have, but mitigated this year by there being only one social
evening. I must say I found the study bedrooms ok for a couple of nights - I
wasn't in mine for much beyond the 8 hours kip. Moving on after two or three
Umbrellas in the same location is an interesting one and certainly speaks to
our desire for outreach.
Best wishes
Dion
