… then the Library & Information Research Group have a seminar to help you.
This half-day seminar consists of a presentation by a leading library and information researcher in the art of writing a successful research proposal. This is followed by an opportunity to network and compare experiences with other attendees over refreshments. The second half of the seminar comprises peer review of the submitted proposals, with specific advice for completion and/or improvement by the expert.
Who should attend: Practitioners, students and academics. It is particularly suitable for those who have never submitted a research proposal.
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: £25 members of LIRG; £50 non-members.

Requirements: Three days before the seminar attendees must submit a research proposal they are working on (in whatever state it is in: outline idea; bullet list; rough notes; drafted; nearly finished; finished but not submitted). These proposals will be collated and circulated to all attendees before the seminar. Proposal must be as a word document (Word 2003 compatible), PDF, or in the text of an email. Submissions will be circulated exactly as submitted.
