Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Associate (Grade
8 - £36,582 - £43,622 p.a.) in the Department of Geography, Wolfson
Research Institute. This 3½ year fixed term post will be responsible for various
research, organisational, and supervisory activities on an NHS funded mixed
methods evaluation of the ‘County Durham worklessness and health support
programme’. Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent doctorate degree in a
health or social science and have experience of quantitative research methods
and an understanding of the NHS.
The Wolfson Research Institute is a major interdisciplinary unit within Durham
University that fosters research on human health and wellbeing. The
Department of Geography at Durham University was founded in 1928 and
remains among the strongest in the country. It was ranked joint first
nationally in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise and the quality of our
