Just a quick heads-up. We are getting a new network connection tomorrow
and are going to try and stress test it. I will be initiating transfers
to/from multiple grid sites to distribute the load. See below for details.
If you have any problems with this please let me know and I will not use
your site.
Files will be named TCD-SC-* and I will try and get them all deleted by
the end of the day.
Stephen
P.S. I have been monitoring the Lancaster problems and won't be submitting
there.

Dear grid colleagues,
We are putting a network upgrade in place for the TCD grid site this week
and the network people want to stress the network between 9 and 10 am on
Thursday 12th February. In order to generate a realistic load, I was
thinking of generating the traffic using a combination of FTS transfers
and lcg commands.
The peak traffic we want to generate is 500 Mbit/s in + 500 Mbit/s out.
I'm going to try and split this over around 10 sites so you should see
less than 50 Mbit/s on average over the hour window.
The test will be carried out using the dteam VO and with the DN
"/C=IE/O=Grid-Ireland/OU=cs.tcd.ie/L=RA-TCD/CN=Stephen O. Childs" I will
use files of size 500MB named SC-TCD-test-500MB
Please let me know if this test would be acceptable to your site or if you
would like any further details.
Stephen
