MRes Studentships (Two)
The novel use of position/navigation instrumentation within a
Bioscience application area
We are pleased to offer two fully-funded Master of Research
studentships for a project investigating the novel use of
position/navigation instrumentation within a bioscience application
area. These one-year studentships include a tax-free maintenance
allowance of £12,940 per annum, plus tuition fees. The studentships
are funded by the EPSRC and are available for UK and EU students
who have been resident in the UK for the last three years (due to
funding restrictions).
The successful students will be responsible for testing and selecting
appropriate systems equipment, developing the integration of position
and communications systems, carrying out field experiments and
analysing test data from operational (bioscience) environments. The
studentships are jointly offered within the IESSG and the School of
Biosciences at the University.
Applications are invited from graduates with good degrees in relevant
areas, including (but not limited to) civil, mechanical and
electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics and
animal physiology.
Students interviewed for the studentships may be required to sign a
non-disclosure agreement concerning the details of the project.
