>I would not mess with your kernel unless you know what you are doing. The default kernel in the intrepid 64-bit version (which you have) is capable of addressing 4GB or more of RAM. I would use the correct FSL distribution from Michael Hanke's site, as it is compiled to run on your operating system. You should not have any issues so long as you follow the instructions found there.
