Seminar: Context Aware and Situated Mobile Learning
The Learning Lab is pleased to announce that the fifth seminar in its 2008-09
seminar series will take place on Wednesday 11 February 2008, from 10:00-
16:00 at the Learning Lab in Telford.
The mobile devices commonly in use today are capable of much more than
handling phone calls and text messages. These multimedia devices are
virtually ubiquitous and are an integral part of life for many people. Mobile
devices are pervasive, short-range wireless technologies such as Wifi and
Bluetooth are increasingly available and positioning systems such as GPS are
commonly used.
The result is that developers and researchers are regularly finding novel and
robust methods of incorporating the context of the user into the development
of their learning systems.
This one day seminar features three presentations from educational, research
and commercial angles, and includes plenty of time for questions and
discussion.
