Strike while the contemporary iron is hot?
This from a Documentary Film Group student:
I am involved in helping the BBC look for the next generation of on-screen
talent. We want charismatic, dynamic people who possess the winning
combination of a searching spirit, an inquisitive mind, alongside a
specific area of expertise.
Everything from inspiring social anthropologists, historians, marine
biologists, medical professionals, botanists, animal behaviourists,
zoologists and/or human rights film makers and print, radio or television
journalists who have a good grasp of foreign affairs!
You do not need to have previous on-screen experience or have a string of
letters after your name - but you do need to be able to demonstrate a real
passion for your subject matter and draw on sufficient background knowledge
to allow you to comfortably engage and enthuse the audience.
We're hoping to find someone who will lead us on a journey of
discovery...mentally, physically and geographically.
