Sorry, did not mean to suggest that I was about try and remove it, we have a little bit time on our side. VLE Genius has been quite for some time now. Having emailed them on a number of occasions and had no reply, does any one know if they have ESCROW agreement in place? Do we know who the administrators are as it might be worth us all contacting them directly.

I would hold off on doing this, as part of the EULA it will pretty much state that you cannot alter this software or words to that effect.
It would be worthwhile contacting the company to find out what the intention is regards the software and contractual obligations that have been signed, support contracts and stuff for existing non expired licences.
They should have a duty of care to let you know the intentions of the product as it may be sold onto another company, depending on the size of the user base.
However thinking even farther ahead, the product might just be used as a tool to reap licence fees from users, with no future development going into it.
Whichever way you look at it the company needs to let you know what's going on regards contracts.

I agree SSO Genius is critical for us as well. It would be good to know we can remove the licence key check. I would think the same process to remove would work on all the VLE Genius Blocks. Let me know if you crack it :)

It's SSO genius that really bothers me.
Any idea where we stand legally? I.e. Can we legally alter the software? If
so I suspect it won't be that difficult to remove the check for the license
key.
