Corporate Information Manager
37 hours per week
£28,270 - £30,456 per annum
This is an opportunity for a dynamic, well-motivated individual to lead the records management programme and information compliance field, including Freedom of Information and Data Protection, from the Corporate Information Management Unit of Worcestershire County Council, a 3-star performing local authority.
You will play a lead role in spearheading information management practice across the Council, ensuring that paper based and electronic record-keeping systems and policies effectively meet the Council's business needs and legislative obligations.
The role offers a varied range of responsibilities both strategic and operational, requiring an excellent range of leadership and communication skills, a minimum of three years practical experience of managing the legislative framework underpinning records management and a detailed understanding of how the expansion of electronic information services is influencing standards and the pace of change. Your responsibilities also include the management of all staff within the Corporate Information Management Unit.
A proven track record in the range of management skills will be important in this role, as will a strong regard for confidentiality and the ability to work at senior level as well as part of a team. You will be part of the Record Office Management Team, report to the Records and Information Services Manager and deputise as appropriate.
