Then IMHO the list is wrong. The move to git has caused lots of
time-consuming problems both for users, and supporters (you and Tim)
discovering what's wrong and explaining what to do. It seems to me that
clear instructions are needed, including what to do if you see this or
that (type of) message. Now perhaps you'd prefer that written in the
JAC Starlink wiki, fine. However, these instructions do need to be
accessible in a public place, and SSN/78 does need a caveat added to
indicate that the repository interactions are out-of-date and readers
should consult the wiki or wherever it's recorded.
The occasional user just wants simple instructions to follow.
