Hello Susan & Meredith,
Without knowing a little more about your specific requirements it's a little
difficult to provide you with a detailed response, but as an initial reply
we produced a simple and cost effective guide for the CREATE Ecohome in
Bristol using Portable CD players.
Using this format it would be very easy to create future experiences for
other exhibitions and you could also sell the discs to generate income. One
could argue that in the age of the MP3 player they are less likely to be
stolen too.
I guess if security is an issue and also if handing out devices will be
difficult you could mount a stero / flat screen TV as per David's reply, but
I'm not sure if this would cause issues with planning?
If you require further thought, then I'd be happy for either of you to
contact me off-list. We'd be interested in assisting in the production of
the oral history experience if you are looking for a partner to work with.
Good luck!
With kindest regards
Tracey
