Hi
It might be an idea to check whether the US destination airport has a
passenger transfer facility that enables direct routing avoiding
immigration. A few years ago I went to Mexico City via Houston where I
had to go through US Immigration to reach another terminal to catch the
flight to Mexico.....luckily I had all the required documentation but it
could have proven to be a real hassle.

Hi
Folks. If you go to the US Embassy, London website there's a press
release warning about these scams. but rest assured, if you are simply
passing through a US airport on your way to the WFTC Conference (Lima -
http://www.mundolibre.org.pe/conferencia/indexen.htm ) you won't need
one anyway. You will need one if you intend to leave the airport
perimeters for any reason.

Interesting, I found the first item on Sky News, so I guess it figures
that it's a scam.........web site.
Thanks for the information.
Best wishes,
Anthony

The website you listed is essentially a scam - they are asking for $49
for a pdf describing the application process.
I think the actual authorization is free; have not ready this in detail
but this looks more credibel:

Hi,
Following a telephone call regarding travel documentation and the USA, I
was fortunate to find a news item about new travel requirements, in
addition to existing requirements for people travelling to the USA.
I suggest that any list members check this out at
http://www.esta.us/travel_authorization.html
There is also a fee of US$ 49.95 .........................
Bon Voyage!
