To comment on this one further:
I've commented out the <zip> clause in source/build.xml which builds
the starjava-sources.zip file in the export-full-source target
(hence in export-full, which is used as part of TOPCAT's build).
It was taking vast (not sure if infinite or not) amounts of time
and memory to complete, which seems to be something which has happened
since the switch to subversion. I did attempt to exclude the
.svn directories, but that didn't seem to help, though it's
possible that was because I didn't do it right. Eventually I
commented it out because I really wanted to get a TOPCAT release
done by the end of the year without having to continue hacking
over the christmas pudding.
So, anyone (=Peter): should I attempt to get this target working again,
or is it OK to leave it commented out (or delete it altogether)?
What this part builds is a 100Mb archive containing all sources
including build machinery - more or less what you can check out from
subversion. I haven't used this product for anything, and I don't
know if others have.
