How large is the 4D file? SPM uses memory mapping of images, which is limited
in terms of how large the files are that it can read. On a 32 bit machine,
the total file size plus the amount of memory in use by MATLAB must be less
than the largest integer that it is possible to represent using 32 bits (ie
either 2 or 4 Gbytes)
