Dear Ping,
it depends how you want to "add". If you have got a number of mask
images, and want to create a new image that is a voxelwise sum,
or-concatenation, ... then you can use the ImageCalculator in SPM to
compute this image. If you tell the ImageCalculator to read the images
into a data matrix, you could use a formula like "sum(X)>0". See the
online help and the SPM manual for more details on the options
available.
