Research Associate/Fellow
Applications are invited for the above post within the School of Sociology and
Social Policy, working on a AHRC/ESRC funded project entitled Religion, Youth, and
Sexuality: A Multi-faith Exploration. The project is led by Dr Andrew Yip (The
University of Nottingham) and Dr Michael Keenan (Nottingham Trent University). The
successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking quantitative and
qualitative data collection and analysis, as well as contributing to data
dissemination of various kinds.
Candidates should have a qualification of at least degree level in sociology or a
related subject and a Master’s degree in sociology or a relevant social sciences
subject. At least one of these degrees/qualifications should include a substantial
proportion of research training. A completed PhD, or comparable professional
experience, is essential for appointment as a Research Fellow.
Salary will be within the range £24,152 - £27,183 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience. This post is available from 1 April 2009 and will
be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 18 months.
