Dear all,
While delegates still have until 1st March to register for the annual
BSA Religion Study Group conference in Durham ('Religion and Knowledge',
30th March - 1st April), applications for bursaries will need to be
submitted by February 13th. (This is so that discounted travel
arrangements can be made in good time).
We have limited funds available to assist with the cost of travel to the
conference, although not for accommodation or meals. Given the current
economic situation, we have decided to open the bursary competition to
both postgraduate students and those not in full-time employment. If you
fall into either of these categories, are a member of the Study Group
and are giving a paper at the conference, and would like to be
considered for a bursary, please let me know as soon as possible. (While
the deadline for paper abstracts has passed, there is still a little
time for exceptional cases, so please do not let the fact that you have
not submitted an abstract yet deter you from submitting an application
for a bursary. Our hope is that this support will help ensure that a
broad range of scholars at various stages of their academic careers can
participate).
With this in mind, if you would like to be considered for a bursary,
please send your registration form in as soon as possible, and also send
an email to me alerting me to your request for assistance.
