On 2nd March Information Training Clinics will be presenting a one
day workshop:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR RECORDS MANAGERS: AN INTRODUCTION
From archiving backlogs of hardcopy records to implementing
electronic records management systems, today records managers are
often faced with projects that must be planned, monitored, and
completed on time and on budget. Our introduction to project
management is designed specifically for records managers, with
tailored exercises, materials and resources.
At this workshop participants will:
- Learn about the development of the project management discipline.
- Become conversant with essential project management terminology and
theory.
- Understand the stages in a projects life cycle from initiation to
execution.
- Gain an overview of designing project objectives, estimating and
allocating resources, scheduling using the critical path method,
progress monitoring and reporting, quality, risk, and change
management, and project closure.
Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided.
