Dear all
I would be grateful if you could give me advice on how you have interpreted &
implemented the TB guidance from the DoH & NICE, regarding staff 'New' to
the NHS, who will be working in non patient areas, but who are from TB
endemic countries.
The guidance states 'Health Care Worker's' require mantoux & chest x-ray
preferably prior to starting work. However, I would be interested to hear
whether you class staff working in non clinical environments as Health Care
Workers, as they may be required to attend patient areas on occasions and if
so whether you do mantoux & x-ray them.
Many thanks
Tracy
