There is quite a literature and resources for child holocaust survivors,
specifically the Kindertransport children who left central Europe alone and
second generation survivors - google any of the terms and you will find
stuff.
Aida Alayarian, who is a clinical psychologist and child psychotherapist and
the Director of the Refugee Therapy Centre in London works with child
refugees but also has recently written a very interesting book on the
consequences of the Armenian Genocide called Consequences of Denial
(Karnac, 2008) which touches on some of the issues of how, for example,
adults in denial impact on children. Anne Karp The War After (Mandarin,
1997) - deals with the same issue.
