Dear Colleague
Do you have an interest or involvement in research and evidence around
ethnicity and mental health in Scotland?
The Mental Health & Race Equality Programme of NHS Health Scotland, in
partnership with the Mental Health Foundation and the Glasgow
Anti-Racist Alliance (GARA), is scoping the interest in establishing a
mental health and ethnicity special interest group in Scotland, which
would aim to support the development of research, evidence and practice
in the area of mental health, ethnicity and race equality.
As a first step to exploring the establishment of any such group, we are
holding a seminar, which will bring together a range of people with
research interests in mental health and ethnicity across Scotland. We
have identified you as one of these people and would like to extend a
warm invitation to you to attend.
Date: Wednesday 25th February 2009, 10-4pm
Venue: The Surgeon's Hall, Nicholson Street, Edinburgh
Please feel free to circulate the attached invitation and booking form
to other people you know are involved in research in this area. We very
much hope you are able to attend - please use the attached registration
form to book your place. If you have any queries about the seminar
please contact Liz McEwan on 0141 572 0125 or email [log in to unmask]
We hope to see you on 25th February.
Best wishes,
Neil Quinn and Dale Meller
