Dear Friends.
I am so grateful for all your help with info' re' the History of the Stowe & Possession Stowe.
Can I please also request a copy of the info that Margaret Howard has offered to Howard! And thanks to David Williams also for his help.
I should mention that I have a somewhat lucky advantage over of all of you in the old Country {UK}.
For you see as South Australia is a vast desert like state, but with many lovely green places, it is still possible to explore a rough bush track and in a matter of a few hours explore a old mine-site c/w horse-whim, then down the same track come across an old well on a pastoral station, some of these are little museum's, evolving from the windlass to the whip then the whim and now the windmill.
I have explored many parts of SA, and as there is roughy some 4,500 odd mines, and perhaps as many wells on the Stations there is still much to research still.
Again thanks for all your assistance.
Take Care
Roger B Bradford,Of Elizabeth, South Australia.
