Subject: Inequalities in infant mortality - job opportunity
I would like to alert list members to an opportunity to work on an exciting
project concerned with inequalities in infant mortality.
The National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU) at the University of Oxford
has just advertised for a third systematic reviewer to join our Infant
mortality team.
The team is conducting a series of systematic reviews to strengthen the
evidence base for interventions which reduce infant mortality (or one of its
three major causes: prematurity, congenital anomalies and SIDS/SUDI) with a
particular focus on interventions which may narrow the health gap.
The post advertised (grade 7) is for a researcher with systematic reviewing
experience to lead one of the reviews. The position could be filled full or
part time and is for a period of 12 months.
In the meantime, we are urgently seeking an experienced systematic reviewer
who could fill this post on a casual short term basis starting in January
for a maximum of 8 weeks. We are open to flexible full or part time working
including the possibility of the researcher working from home.
Anyone interested should contact me (Jennifer Hollowell, Infant Mortality
Project Co-ordinator) for an informal discussion on or after January 5th
(Tel 01865 289437/289700; email [log in to unmask] )
The ad for the 12 month position was listed on www.jobs.ac.uk on Monday 15th
December and further details are also posted on the NPEU website
www.npeu.ox.ac.uk/jobs The closing date is 8th January.
Best wishes and season's greetings
Jennifer Hollowell
