Film Studies is a well-established programme within the Arts and
Media section of the Faculty. You will be responsible for teaching and
convening modules, as well as for providing student learning support
within Film Studies. You will also contribute to the administration of
modules, and to both course planning and development as required.
You should have a Postgraduate Degree in Film Studies. A sound
academic background in film history and theory is essential, as is as
a strong research specialism in European, Latin American or other
national cinema. The ability to teach on American cinema as part of an
American Studies programme is also desirable. Excellent organisational
skills and interpersonal qualities are essential, as well as
experience of teaching in Higher Education at undergraduate level. You
will also have the opportunity to contribute to a new MA in Film
Studies.
