PhD Tuition Fee Bursaries
Department Of Languages, Cultures and Religions
The School of Languages, Cultures and Religions invites applications
for up to THREE full-fee PhD studentships at UK/EU home rate for
doctoral study beginning 1 September 2009. The School offers a range
of research expertise in fields such as Cultural Theory, Film Studies,
French Studies, Hispanic and Latin American Studies, Post-Colonial
Studies, Visual Cultures, Religious Studies.
In order to be considered you must have already been offered a place
on one of our doctoral programmes by 29 May 2009. If you hold a
conditional offer, you are still eligible to apply. Applicants should
not already be holding an external funding award for the 2009-10
academic session but they may of course be in the process of applying
for other awards (AHRC, ORSAS). Applications will be ranked according
to academic merit by the Departmental Research Committee. Award
holders will be notified in July 2009.
Students wishing to be considered for a bursary should mark clearly on
their University application form that they wish to be considered for
a tuition fee bursary.
Submission Deadline
You must submit your application for admission before 29 May 2009.
Normally only applications which have been fully processed and
students who have been offered admission on a conditional or
unconditional basis by 29 May 2009 will be considered for a
departmental bursary.
Bursary applications will be considered by the Departmental Research Committee.
