In the documentation for the recent JISC funding call (12/08 strand
A5, para 92), it is stated that partnerships with repository software
providers are particularly welcomed. EPrints and EPrints Services are
committed to the goals of the enhancement strand - increasing deposit
rates, enhancing the user experience, improving preservation capacity
and developing a richer institutional policy framework within which a
repository can deliver an increasing portfolio of valuable services to
all institutional stakeholders (researchers, administrators and
managers).
Please contact me if we can help your JISC bid by
(a) offering technical advice on planned implementations of repository
features and services during the proposal writing
(b) sitting on an advisory committee, to give feedback during the
project
(c) providing bespoke training for your project officers
(d) providing technical consultancy during your project
(e) undertaking some part of the project technical development
We'd love to see lots of strong EPrints proposals funded by JISC - if
there is anything we can do to help improve your bid through technical
advice now or budgeted effort during the project, please let me know.
