In the spirit of Les Carr and Joy Davidson's earlier posts can I also
offer Intrallect's expertise to projects responding to the Information
Environment and e-Research Call (12/08) as well as the
HEFCE/Academy/JISC Open Educational Resources Call (14/08).
Information Environment and e-Research
Intrallect can offer expertise and support in areas such as:
A1: automatic metadata generation and its integration in repositories
A3: start-up, roll-out strategies, motivation and content migration for
new repositories
A4: technical innovation based on web services between repositories and
other applications
A5: enhancements to repositories particularly through web services that
will amplify the use of the repository and streamline the workflows for
deposit
Open Educational Resources
Intrallect has expertise and would like to contribute to projects in any
of the following areas:
- Making repositories easily indexable by common search engines
- Developing a sustainable "business model" (see item 25 in the call)
- Tracking and monitoring use of resources
- IPR and open licensing
Intrallect is committed to open standards and to disseminating all
research results as openly and widely as possible.
