This consultation seeks views on a proposed framework for the
development of Psychological Therapy Services for adults, children and
adolescents. The aim is for improved access to these services coupled
with the promotion of early intervention, self help and support in the
community, while also recognising the need for specialist services for
people with complex conditions, particularly those arising from mental
health and learning disabilities. Other specific areas under discussion
include: the use of a stepped care model, a single point of access to
psychological assessment, evaluation of services, service user
involvement, training and supervision, and workforce issues.
