Can I bring to your attention the following course at the BFI Southbank,
Waterloo (formerly the NFT). Its the first time this extraordinary archive
material has been made publicly available and encompasses the broad period of
film and television history from the early 20th C to the present day. Course
leader and film historian Jim Pines will give historical and cultural context to a
wide range of archive film and television as well as bringing in special guests to

extraordinary range of rare footage, cutting edge
documentary, cinema and television drama for
your enjoyment and discussion in our digital Studio
cinema. There will be guest speakers and also the
opportunity to learn how to access materials at our
free public archive, the Mediatheque.
