We have used the Paceblade tablets for at least 2 research projects with
mixed to good results. (We have just bought 2 more for our latest
project - I couldn't find anything better for the price...) The latest
series has a much better screen compared to the 100 series that isn't as
reflecting. You get a very neat extra battery back (very thin, screws to
the back) that extends the battery life to about 7-8h. We use the
PowerBox for switch access and Daessy mounting. Windows is as usual a
bit temperamental but I seem to have more problems than others (...;o).
(Daessy mounts straight to the battery pack and you can use an adapted
mouse for switch access which makes it another 300 pounds cheaper and
less chunky!...)
I have ordered a Q1 last week - we've had good experience in the
department but not as an AAC device - so let's see...
Hope that helps a bit.
Rolf
PS
Paceblade has a very nice external battery pack that fits any laptop
(we'll be using it with the Vmax) to double battery life.

The tablets that we currently use in our PowerBoxes are the Sahara 1440
(also known as
Paceblade 200m series)
The PowerBox 5 has 75m VESA mounting points, and the PowerBox 6 has
100mm. We
normally put Daessy plates on them, using the VESA holes.
