Dear Evelyne,
As Marc mentioned, my PhD focused on manufacture and use of Austrian
Bronze Age full hilted and Griffzungen-type swords (BA B to Ha A). I’ve
done chemical analyses (XRF, EMPA and some REM) as well as x-ray and
metallographic analyses on 40 full hilted and 40 Griffzungen-type swords.
I´ve published one sword in English; an English summary of my results is
in print (see below).
C. B. Burgess & I. Colquhoun do not write about full hilted swords, nor
does S. Bridgford; as Mathias Mehofer mentioned, J. Riederer published
chemical analyses of some full hilted swords in H. Wüstemann, PBF 4/15.
You may find more chemical as well as metallographic analyses of five
further full hilted swords in the following publications:
M. Longauerová, S. Longauer, P. Makarius, Metallography of ancient Bronze
Swords, in: L. Mihok, E. Miroššayová (eds.), Východoslovenský Pravek,
Special Issue: Archaeometallurgy in the Central Europe, Košice 1999, 77ff.

Of course there´s more in German, just tell me if you´re interested, I can
send you a pdf.
All the Best,
Marianne.
