The University invites applications for the above post which is tenable until 31 December 2010 in the first instance.
The National Primary Care Research and Development Centre (NPCRDC) is the leading policy related primary care research centre in the UK, and one of the leading centres of its type in the world. NPCRDC's research is organised into four programmes: quality, organisations, workforce, and self-management.
The postholder will join the Centre's Workforce Theme. They will use data from the recently completed 5th GP Worklife Survey, along with the other unique survey and administrative datasets that the Centre has collected and assembled, to undertake longitudinal analysis of: the labour market for GPs and primary care nurses; comparisons with other professional groups; the consequences of organisational change; and the impacts of more recent health reforms.
Salary will be within the range £28,839 - £35,469 per annum according to relevant experience. The University of Manchester will implement a new pay and grading structure in line with the national framework agreement, therefore all grades and salaries are currently under review and may change.
