Dear all,
On Tuesday 31 March, the Statistics Group at the Open University in Milton Keynes will host a one-day
CONFERENCE ON TRAFFIC MODELLING
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers of different disciplines interested in the field. Current research on various aspects of traffic modelling will be presented, including the problems of modelling traffic flows, networks and journey times.
Full details, including a time table and registration form, are available from http://statistics.open.ac.uk//TrafficConference
Talks at the conference:
David Watling (Leeds)
Statistical inference for traffic network models
Malcolm Farrow (Newcastle)
Stochastic models and diagnostic plots for road traffic vehicle headways
Casper Albers, Catriona Queen (Open U.)
A graphical dynamic approach to forecasting and monitoring road traffic flow networks
Richard Gibbens (Cambridge)
Data, modelling and inference in road traffic networks
Susan Grant-Muller (Leeds)
Getting to grips with congestion - a periurban case study
Jeff Johnson (Open U.)
Complexity Science and Transport Systems
Joan Serras (Open U.)
Modelling very large Transport Systems
Mila Mihaylova (Lancaster)
Vehicular Traffic Modeling and Traffic Flow Estimation with Particle Filtering Methods
Eddie Wilson (Bristol)
Differential Equation Models for Forecasting Highway Traffic Flow
For a time table, registration (£25, includes lunch), or further information, please visit http://statistics.open.ac.uk//TrafficConference . Posters will be displayed throughout the day. If you would like to present a poster, please let us know.
All the best,
Casper Albers
