The dog loo sign described below is also typically used at service
stations along motorways to indicate where you can exercise your dog
(and where to avoid walking if you don't have a dog).

Hi Martin,

Here at RNIB they've been called 'dog loos'. The sign outside has
embossed lettering which reads 'Dog Loo' and there is an embossed,
tactile image of a dog and something mildly steaming behind it. Then
there's braille below.

I guess making a light-hearted sign meant RNIB could avoid confusing
euphemisms. You don't have 'human friendly zone' or 'person spending
area', after all!

Kind regards,
Henry

Hi All,

I am trying help a client out with regards to providing 'Assistance Dog
Spending areas'.

He has spoken with two different disability groups and been given two
different names for such facilities. Also some people want them to be
signed as 'spending areas' and others as 'dog friendly' zones etc.

Do we have any sources of reference for such facilities, names and
signage ?
