As we are embodied beings - a body is a one of the ground conditions of
magick -
magicians and mystics have often (I'd say invariably) engaged with this
issue of embodiment -
ie its usually seen that the primary purpose of the body is as an aid
to liberation
- through magick and other means.
Most of the primary, ie historically most ancient and I'd say authentic,
magical activities involve the body
for example the oldest and most common example being the use of magical
language-
for which you need a body - i'd say no body, no magick.
Anything else is just to misunderstand the true nature of magick - imo.
