The simple answer is if a patient doesn't definitely fit into a protocol, use your
clinical judgement. If you don't think your clinical judgement is up to it, get the
judgement of someone with more expertise. Pre hospital in most of the UK that
means scoop and run. As it stands their protocols do not allow giving drugs in this
case. That is no bad thing.
