Odyssey House Victoria is recognised as a leader in responding to people and families with drug or alcohol problems through excellence in service provision and innovation. Odyssey House promotes opportunities for change and growth by reducing drug use and reconnecting people to families and the community.

We are seeking suitably qualified persons to fill the role of Counsellor/Therapist at the Therapeutic Community (TC), a treatment/rehabilitation facility located in Lower Plenty.

The successful candidate will possess general empathy for people whose lives have been affected by substance abuse. They will contribute to the life of the TC by providing individual and group therapy and case management of residents. They will conduct client planning groups, facilitate group discussion, implement relevant treatment activities and contribute to the development of programs and treatment activities. On a networking level, they will liaise with other agencies and treatment services and Government Departments and provide advocacy for residents as required.

Qualifications and/or experience in relevant Alcohol & Drug Work, Health, Social or Welfare related field is mandatory.

Salary to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Conditions are based on the SACS Award. Salary packaging is available.

ODYSSEY HOUSE VICTORIA - CIRCUIT BREAKER PROGRAM

Odyssey House Victoria is recognised as a leader in responding to people and families with drug or alcohol problems through excellence in service provision and innovation. Odyssey House promotes opportunities for change and growth by reducing drug use and reconnecting people to families and the community.
We are seeking suitably qualified persons to join the Circuit Breaker Program.

This two and a half year program funded through the Commonwealth Government will provide a residential drug treatment program in North Eastern Victoria. Circuit Breaker Program offers a 6 week holistic treatment for residents which incorporates cognitive therapy, behavioural structures, and case planning within a physically and psychologically safe environment, enhancing and encouraging individual motivation for change.

The successful staff candidates will possess general empathy for people whose lives have been affected by substance abuse. Highly developed program delivery, communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Manager, Circuit Breaker Program (Full time)

$90,000 package negotiable (including salary packaging, vehicle and superannuation)

The successful candidate will have significant experience in management, residential service delivery, staff supervision and team leadership. Significant experience within a Therapeutic Community environment highly desirable.

Senior Case Manager (2 full time positions)

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in providing individual and group therapy and case management skills.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Trainer (4 days per week)

The successful candidate will have a background in psychology, social work, education and/or training.

Duty Workers/Outreach Workers/Case Workers/Overnight Shift Workers

Various positions available.

Candidates for these positions should have familiarity working within an the AOD sector or equivalent and posses effective communication skills, working with a variety of people and service providers.

Shiftwork including overnight work will be required for some of these positions.

Administrative Assistant (3 days per week)

Candidates should have well developed organisational and communication skills with experience in accounts payable functions.
