Apologies for cross posting.
Many thanks to the hundreds of organisations who have already responded
to the Collections Trust and Strategic Content Alliance survey on orphan
works. It's open for another few hours so if you would like to get
involved, and have a chance of claiming a £100 prize read on.
The survey aims to assess the impact of 'orphan works' (works for which
the copyright owner is unknown or cannot be traced) on the delivery of
services to library, archive, museum and information service users in
the UK and Europe.
The closing date for completion of the survey is Friday 16th January
2009, so there is still plenty of time to get involved. The
questionnaire is available at:
http://surveys.omni-web.co.uk/start.aspx?sid=5DZ6VD
We are pleased to announce a second prize draw for £100 (or the
equivalent in Euros) for all those taking part in the survey.
Congratulations to the Scottish Fisheries Museum in Fife, who won the
first draw which took place before Christmas.
This research, the first of its kind throughout the UK and Europe,
represents a real opportunity for cultural organisations to make their
voices heard and contribute to positive action to increase access to
public sector content.
To complete the survey, please follow the link below (or copy it into
your web browser).

Please also pass the details on to anyone else you know who may be
interested in taking part.
