Hello all.
Once more I have a question about waytotal thresholding. Seems there have
been two ways mentioned on the list that this can be done:
1. divide the fdt_paths image by the waytotal number, then threshold the
resultant image at some number between 0 and 1
(e.g. fdt_paths -div [waytotal] -thr 0.1 output_image)
2. threshold the fdt_paths image at some percentage of the waytotal number.
(e.g. fdt_paths -thr [waytotal/100*10] output_image)
I know that these are not two ways of doing the same thing, and that 1.
would normalize the image intensities whereas 2. wouldn't (although this
isn't really relevant because I am binarizing the images after the operation
anyway).
Is 2. even a valid thing to do?
Thanks,
john
