The recent message to the list by Sophia Collins has prompted me to seek
information from others list members about best practice in evaluating
communications activities. I would be particularly grateful to receive
advice about evaluating outcomes rather than outputs of communication
activities. I define outcomes as decisions or activities (policy
decision) that have been at least partially influenced by one or more
communication activities, and an output is a communication activity or
vehicle itself (eg a report, etc) - but I would be very happy to hear of
other definitions.
I am sure this topic has been discussed on the list before, but I
haven't been able to find exactly what I need in a search of the list
archives, so apologies if my request is a repetition. Also, I know that
this is a big topic, so would be very happy to be directed to existing
sources of information.
