Poetry Exercise:
Outdoor Wall Signage: The Zinn Nail Club,
24th Street, Noe Valley, San Francisco
Among the many items offered:
Special:
Age Defying Collagen Pedicure
Chocolate Mint Blossom Spa Pedicure
Lavender Spa Pedicure
Luxury Spa Pedicure
Waxing & Facial:
Bikini
Hot Wax Feet
Exercise Assignment: Add the word poetry into any of the offerings. For
example:
Age Defying Collagen Poetry Pedicure
Bikini Poetry (Please note the phonetic sensual enhancement achieved here
by the use of the internal rhyme scheme of "i", "I" and "y".)
Now, instead of Poetry, try adding "Poe" to any of the selections, as, for
example:
Waxing Poe & Facial
Note the curious conflation of "Poe" the poet, and "poe" as vernacular slang
or "poor.'
Is anything special achieved by making such a conflation?
In what way to these poetry exercises enhance the health of eye, ear &
imagination?
