I will admit to being a member of CAL (Copyright Agency Limited) here in
Australia which can appear as the polar opposite to GNU free software
and I have been included in bricks used as assign reading matter for
undergrads. About 15 years ago CAL paid me $300 for a 1500 word article
so I was quite happy to give a guest lecture to the students for free,
since there wasn't enough money leftover to pay for guest lecturers.
But, alas, that is all I have ever received from CAL.
