I would agree with you Amanda, it definitely smacks of bullying and using OH
as a tool for this as employees will think OH is there to "wave the big
white stick" if a person is absent from work.

Subject: Self referrals
Dear all,
The HR manager of organisation I currently work for has put together a
proposal (without my input or consultation) to 'eliminate' self referral to
OH. All
referrals are to have management agreement and all referrals will require a
report to be sent back from OH 'detailing the reason for attendnace and
outcome'. Personally I think this has more than an element of control &
smells
strongly of bullying. What does everyone else think??
