Message from the MIST mailing list.
Expressions of commitment are now being sought for the EU funded Cooperation on Science and Technology (COST) action ES0803, "Developing space weather products and services in Europe".
*** The closing date is 15th January 2009 ***
COST enables European researchers, through collaboration, to make more of their existing research campaigns. COST does not fund research activity directly but can provide some travel for networking activities over the lifetime of the action.
All information (including the MoU, which defines the organisation of the working groups and the research aims) can be found at http://www.cost.esf.org/index.php?id=205&action_number=ES0803.
The commitment being sought now is only of the broadest type, in that you are asked only to provide an outline of how your research may contribute to the goals of the action. Any partial information is therefore welcome.
Completed EoC forms (copy and edit that below) should be sent to the chairperson, Dr Anna Belehaki (National Observatory of Athens) at [log in to unmask], and copied to the UK coordinators: Alan Aylward at UCLA ([log in to unmask]), Mike Hapgood at RAL ([log in to unmask]) and myself at BGS ([log in to unmask]).
